Wearing stripes is a trend that seems to reappear every summer. If done properly, it can also be a timeless and an extremely fashion-forward look. It is also very versatile– you can play with the colors, sizes, and direction of the stripes.

What I really love about this outfit is that it takes the stripes trend, which can be very bold, and softens it for the work place. I learned early-on during my time in the office that comfort was key. This is why I chose a heel that was sleek and lower than most. Also I picked a dress that was flowy as to not accentuate any unflattering areas. Finally I topped it off with a small ring that picked up the orange color from the dress. It’s just the right accessory so you don’t look too overdone at work!

Shirt, Capri, Shoes, Earrings, Watch
This outfit is a lot bolder than outfit 1. Since it is so in your face, I found a shoe that comes in multiple colors. Personally, I would choose the red to really make a statement. But if your office is more strict, go with a neutral like the black. Gold accessories really tie this outfit together. I wanted to mention that the top is shear so wearing a solid tank underneath is a must.

Blazer, top, pants, flats, earrings
This outfit centers around the structured blazer that has a color which reminds me of an ocean breeze. It’s an extremely summery piece that can be paired with any neutral. I have yet to wear a skinny pant to work or find one that looks professional enough but I think this pair does the trick! The shirt I chose is very versatile and can be used in numerous other business casual styles. Top it off with a lipstick in a nice summer shade and you’ve perfected the stripe trend at work.
